Mrs. Shirley Deterding from England, was amongst those 15 who landed salmon above the 20 kilo mark in Alta last year.
Not in 30 years, more salmons were brought up from Alta river. At the 2007 lottery, there were 2018 petitions for the 80 permits. Never has the interest been bigger! 1980 salmons above 3 kilos, and 3927 salmons below 3 kilos was the catch.
The annual report indicating 31750 kilos is the highest since 1975, when proximally 100 kilos more were landed. The biggest salmon out of Tana last year weighed 25 kilos, and was landed by Mr. Goulding Lambert from Canada. It was taken on an Olive Phantom fly, at the stretch called Slingerplassen August 20`th. One of the happiest guests was Mrs. Shirley Deterding with her 23,2 kilo salmon. She got her giant salmon in Langstilla August 30`th, also that one caught on an Olive Phantom fly. Interest wise, the lottery turn up, was 25% larger than previous season.
