Gaula the best salmon river in Norway

Gaula is now Norway's best salmon river. The catch last year was 27,894 kilograms, or 935 kilograms more than that taken in Tana.
On the 3rd place came Namsen, the fourth Orkla and of the fifth ended the Alta River.

The Norwegian salmon fishing has been a good start. In Gaula, the Norway's best salmon river for anglers is that during the first 8 days taken 453 salmon for a total of 3.8 tonns
Ragnar Tenvik and Tor K. Nagelhus from Sandefjord (photo)have the largest so far:24.7 kg.and was fishing on the Upper Vibstad in Namsen. They fished from the boat with the small 6 cm Finnish wobbler Jurmu, says Oddvar Heilung by Overhalla Hotels to Fiskeguiden. Only guests of the hotel has catched 60 salmon belov 7 kilo. Erland Berg from Hunnedalen is home again after a fantastic week in Kvål in Gaula River. 17.5 kg weighed his biggest in a series of 5 large salmons, and was taken on a 25 grams Gullkroken spoon. Crew of 6 men had a total catch of 21 big salmons. With a daily quota of 1 fish, were all less salmons released alive back.
