Mr. Olav Skog landed a 22, 1 kilo (130cm) salmon fly-fishing on the Resell-Stretch in River Orkla today. Mr. Skog also previously landed a 20, 5 kilo salmon on a one hand rod, and is probably one av few Norwegian angler who have broken the magical 20 kilo mark two times on fly.
So far more than 100 salmons have been caught in Orkla, and Mr. Rune Krogdal informs Fishing Norway that more than 600 salmons are registered passing the Bjørset Dam, and that the whole river stretch is now populated. All the way to Hol in Rennebu.
Verdalselva River: River Namsen:
214 salmons are brought ashore in River Namsen during the first two days of fishing. A total amount of 1553, 5 kilos, with an average weight at 7, 26 kilo. Unfortunately King Harald had to return from Bjøra with no catch also this year.
River stjørdalselva:
Stjørdalselva River has delivered 74 salmons at 608, 8 kilos, averaging at 8, 2 kilo. The larges tone at 14, 2 kilo.
River Gaula:
Also River Gaula started well Mr. Tor Stræte informs Fishing Norway pr. e-mail. He attached pictures of his 17, 2 kilo salmon that he landed premiere night, and the 7, 5 kilo salmon that he caught this morning. A total 214 salmons have been brought ashore, weighing 1553, 5 kilos, averaging at 7, 26 kilo.
